St. John's Children's Ministries

St. John's welcomes all of our children to come
join us for these programs...
Rotation Sunday School Workshop
Workshop Rotation, the children's Sunday school program combines
the newest concepts in education with the Biblical teachings
of traditional Sunday school. Today's children learn through
visualization, and hands-on experiences. The goal of Workshop
Rotation is to take an ordinary Sunday school classroom and transform
it into a full scale-learning environment including sounds, aromas,
hands on activities and an overall visually stimulating environment.
We have over 50 children in Sunday School each week. Our goal
is to double that number by next year.
Kids for Christ
"Kids
for Christ" is a fellowship group for children in grades
4 through 6. We meet on Sunday evenings from 6 pm to 8 pm. We
build friendships with other children and our adult sponsors
by participating in a variety of service projects and fun activities.
Super Sixers
"Super
Sixers" is made up of sixth graders that get to split off
from Kids for Christ into their own special group beginning in
February of each year. They enjoy participating in special activities
just for them in preparation for their promotion into the Junior
High Youth Group. This great group of kids concludes their experience
in Children's Ministries with an overnight trip to "Fish
Camp."
Biblezone
Biblezone is our Wednesday evening program for all children
in grades 1 through 6. They meet in the south basement at 6 pm
right after the All Church
Dinner. They explore bible studies
through drama, games, science experiments, and a variety of crafts.
Vacation Bible School
Lava Lava Island (June 21-25) is overflowing with fun for children,
teenagers, and adults. Everyone involved in this Vacation Bible
School will jump in with both feet... and never be the same again!
As kids explore the life of Jesus, they'll take part in great
music, and visit five different Island Stations each day. Then
everyone will come together for the closing, Lava Lava Luau.
This exciting week of adventure will be shared with our friends
in Christ from Santa Maria de La Paz Catholic Community and San
Isidro Catholic Church.
Summer Conference Camp
Spending
a week in the beautiful Sacramento Mountains at the Methodist Assembly
camp can be a life changing experience for a child. This camp is available
for all children who have completed grades 4 or 5. The children
will learn about God's love for them as they meet new friends
from other churches in our conference, play games, learn new
songs, create skits, and rejoice in Christian fellowship.
