Associate Pastor, Stephanie Harmon
 Welcome
to St. John's United Methodist Church!
I am excited to
be joining this congregation as Associate Pastor. I have pastored
a rural church in Oklahoma, and have been active in both small
and large congregations, chairing just about every kind of
committee we Methodists have designed!
Before entering the ordained
ministry,
I worked in the public schools as a reading and language
arts tutor, as a Braille tutor for a visually-impaired young
man,
as a parent-educator, and in the community as an advocate
for persons with developmental disabilities. So ordained ministry
is not my first career, nor my second, but my fifth, and
I
bring to it a wide variety of life experiences, and a passion
for ministry
with the least, the last, and the lost.
I look forward to walking with
you on our journey with Christ. I truly believe we are all
on this path together, each of us
called to be ministers of Jesus Christ
in the world, endowed by the Holy Spirit with unique gifts and graces to
be used in service for God.
For what does the Lord require of
us but to do justice, love
mercy, and to walk humbly with our God. May you find the community called
St.
John's United Methodist Church faithfully doing so for our Lord.
